Our old site still has visitors to an old pdf (ww.oldsite.ourDoc.pdf) and I would like to redirect visitors to the new location where we keep up to date PDFs.

I could just put the latest copy of this pdf in the same place and it would work.
However, when this PDF gets updated in the new location it will mean updating 2 PDFs (which is not idaeal).

Is there a way I could use some redirect code (say in the header of error.aspx page) which says something like

IF ww.oldsite.ourDoc.pdf is entered
>> go to
>> ww.NewSite/NewPDFs.aspx page

thanks,
mark

You are going to need to setup a specific redirect for this, you could use UrlMaster for this, but you must make sure that ALL extension types are processed by ASP.NET first.

Mitchel - it should be possible to redirect this via Url Master and only associate the .pdf extension with the asp.net runtime.  Either way would work.

I have recently done a consulting job where I redirected a pile of .pdf extensions to redirect to new DNN pages, it worked a treat.
