Hello all,

I am new to paypal as it has recently launched in SA, FINALLY.  I am trying to set-up my payment gateway in the store module, but I am not sure of a few fields.  Can you please tell me what the field
PayPal ID:
Secure ID:
PayPal Verification URL:
PayPal Payment URL:

Should be.

And is there anything else I need to do to my PayPal account to allow it to work on a payment gateway?

Regards
Rhys

Hi Rhys,

On the left on each field you can click on the question mark to display the related help. The PayPalID is the primary email account defined in your PayPal account. The SecureID is displayed on your PayPal profile page (Secure Merchant Account ID: 4DX1ETQPG5AMB) it's an encrypted key and is optional. PayPal Verification URL and PayPayl Payment URL should be both the same url: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr/. If you have upgraded the Store module from an old version (02.01.00) please verify and correct this url in both fields. You have to enable the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) in your PayPal account (Profile > Instant Payment Notification Preferences), enter your home page url and check Enabled setting.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Rhys,

You have to read the PayPal developer guide! ;-)
