Having picked up code left from another programmer one of the first things I did was replace all the instances of 'YourCompany' with the actual company name.
Since then I have updated the code and DLLS on the server and my test server and all works fine. However, today I see multiple entries in the event viewer
Message: System.Exception: Error Creating BusinessControllerClass 'YourCompany.Modules.TTSTimeClock_LogInMod.TTSTimeClock_LogInModController' of module(TTSTimeClock_LogInMod) id=(409) in tab(81) and portal(0) ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type type, Boolean nonPublic) at DotNetNuke.Framework.Reflection.CreateObject(String TypeName, String CacheKey) at DotNetNuke.Services.Search.ModuleIndexer.GetModuleList(Int32 PortalID) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at DotNetNuke.Services.Search.ModuleIndexer.GetModuleList(Int32 PortalID)
I traced back to the entry in the Controller class setting in the module definitions. On my local machine I replaced the text in the definition with the correct company name and it clears the event error but on the live site the settings are disabled?
How can I get them enabled so I can change them
thanks

You have to actually update the DNN manifest and deploy an updated package to the production site to push the update.

Hi Mitchel,
Thanks for the reply.
These modules are not deployed as a redistributable module, they were defined in the portal and are manually updated each time a change is made. As in I replacae the code in the desktop modules folder and the DLL's in the bin.
