We were wondering if there's a way to connect a document on dotnetnuke back to a drive within our organization.  The problem we're having is that when someone updates a document on our drive, that document isn't updated on dotnetnuke.  So then we have to delete that doc and upload the new one.  Is there a way to link the document on dotnetnuke to the document located on our drive--so it becomes sort of a live document?  We don't want others to have the ability to update the document, just us.  And we need all people to be able to view it, not just people within our organization.  Is there an outside plug in available that could perform this function for us?

Typically modules such as DMX (or the opendocument module that is a part of the Professional edition)are used for that - these maintain links to documents on shared locations (typically a unc path) and provide support for versioning.
