Hello All,

I'm looking for recommendations for DNN module authors that you have personally found to be highly competent and reliable.

Let me explain a bit.

I've been using DNN since 1.0.4 and have purchased quite a few modules over the years. Most module authors seem to come and go, and most modules that I've used have been of dubious quality for long-term production environments (either because of code quality or module/module author longevity or some other factor that made the product unsuitable for long-lived sites).

So, I'd like to find out from others about module authors that you have found to be dedicated to their products, i.e. they don't drop them after v1.0.1, with high quality code and that are responsive to customers for support issues.

Listing my basic priorities:

  • Module author is dedicated to the product with updates for new DNN releases (if applicable) as well as security updates
  • Modules work as described and perform smoothly
  • Source code is nice to have
I will be deploying modules in environments where bugs and downtime are simply unacceptable and could cause me a great deal of pain, agony, and financial loss. So this post is really about me starting some additional due diligence.

Thank-you in advance for any and all recommendations, both for and against modules, companies, and/or authors. All input is welcome.
