Hi,

I'd like my DNN 5.4.2 site to use UK English so that the dates display as expected. However if I switch to UK, then the dates are displayed correctly, but the Text editor doesn't display correctly, it doesn't display the buttons to switch between Design & HTML view and the word and character count labels are not displayed.

I think I set the fallback language to US English when I created UK English, but I haven't found a away of checking this.

I have tried with US English both enabled & disabled but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Thanks, John

the text editor is a 3rd party component, which might use its own mechanism of localization. Which rich text editor are you using?

I have experienced the same behaviour. The editor in question is the telerik editor. I did not realize it was related to the localisation, but if I think back, it is possible. I will do some tests. I thought it was related to the permissions of the account holder using the editor. It makes sense not to let all users post html code, there are security issues with the use of HTML.

On the sites I host, I am the only one who knows enough of html to work in html mode and I always use en-US.

A work-around would be to switch back to using the FCK editor - at least for editing HTML code.
