It's a pretty serious issue for me so I've gone ahead and written it up on Gemini along with suggested fixes:

Hopefully it'll get actioned.

Ran into this one as well pretty annoying

For now I solved it by finding all div tags that have a class that ends in "Content" and then clear all these div from there classes . SO I finally have clean div tags using some jQuery but it seems like the DNN ouput source gets infected more and more with unwanted class garbage. I switched to other menu systems because at first there never was normal unordered list output and now that there is just do a view generated source and you will be amazed how much unwanted stuff there is.
Lets hope someone will clean this soon

This was introduced with DNN 5.
I didn't know there was no check if the class name is valid (which seems obvious to do).
All invalid characters should be replaced.

BTW, I do think this is a valid addition as it's a way to style all modules of a certain type.
(without addressing certain pages or using different containers)

I think if the injected class would be valid there would be no real issue.

BTW, I think something changed because before the "content" part was not there before AFAIR.

Hi Timo, Thanks for the info. I think it has some valid use, but only as an optional feature. This should never have been enabled by default. I've listed several issues in the Gemini ticket that also need to be addressed with any changes to it. I just want it off as soon as possible, so if anyone knows where it can be disabled, please let me know. The next ticket is going to be about hiding empty HTML modules by default, which is also in 5.4.3. This again should be an option, not forced on by default. Rob

Rob, I have seen a discussion about the hiding of the empty HTML modules (I don't remember where) and form what I recall,  I don't think this is going to be changed back to what it was..
