I'm using the VS Solution for the Blog Module to make some custom changes to the entire blog setup. One of the things I'd like to be able to do is add the DNN Profile Picture for the blog author into the Recent Entries view but I'm not sure what control drives that view.

Has anyone tried to pull this off? If so, could you please provide me with some guidance?

Thanks

I don't know the answer, but it's pretty easy to work backwards.  Start with the moduleid of the blog module, work backwards to find the ModuleDefinition Id, then work backwards to get the ModuleControls record - this shows you which .ascx file is used for a particular display.  Once you know that then you can modify the file to show the author.

However, I wouldn't recommend that method.  I would actually build my own module which just read the entryId/blogId/ whatever and looked up a table (possibly the userprofile?) and displayed the image.  THen you can put your module anywhere you like in the site, and you'll have an upgrade path for future versions of the blog module.

A seperate module is probably not a bad idea. Thanks.

Do you happen to know if there's a token or something I can use to get the profile pic or is a direct DB query the only option at this point?
