I'm afraid I've got a serious problem on my hands and could really use some advise.

Somehow, my DNN pages (tabs) seem to be unstable. If I move a page, it often appears in the wrong place in the page structure or its children all disappear until it's moved back. If I move a page that's say 3 levels deep in the page structure up or down in display order, it can suddenly appear at the root level. Pages simply disappear from the admin dropdown list entirely at times and reappear if I move it or other pages around. So, my database appears to contain one or more corrupt records.

Can someone help me with a query that might expose a record in one of the tab tables that is corrupt or perhaps identify which table would most likely cause a problem of this nature if its data were corrupted?

I'm running an unmodified DNN 5.4.3 CE installation on Windows 2008 64-bit, IIS7.0, .Net 3.5 SP1, SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition 64-bit, on my own dedicated hardware. It's been a very stable installation for many years. I and others have invested countless years of work in it so I have to find a way to salvage the installation. I have tons of backups but the problem gradually introduced itself a week or two ago and I'd much prefer to move forward and not lose hundreds of man-hours of work from many users.

Thanks a ton for any suggestions,
John

AFAIK there is a known issue in DNN 5.4 page management, I'm not sure, whether it's fixed for 5.4.3 or 5.4.4 yst.

This is a known issue that was fixed in 5.4.3.  We should have 5.4.4 released in another day or two at which point you can just use it to move your pages (which will automatically fix the child pages as well)

Joe,

Perhaps I'm not understanding your statement. If this problem was fixed in 5.4.3 and I'm running 5.4.3 and still having the problem I'm at a bit of a loss. Did you mean to suggest that the problem hasn't been fixed in 5.4.3 but will be in 5.4.4? Or, do I need to visit Gemini and report the issue as outstanding?

Thanks for the response. Love your blog and TAG site. Keep up the good work!

Thanks,
John
