I am running DNN 4.9.3 and ADSIAuthenicationProvider. For the most part the automatic login authentication works perfect. However I have about 5 users that are getting a login prompt to view the page. If they enter their credentials it just brings the prompt back up. And if they click cancel is says you are not authorized to view this page.
I have searched around and have not been able to find a good answer.

Are they entering their credentials as Domain\Username? That should get them logged in. Now, as to why they're getting the prompt.... Are their computers on the domain? Is the site in the Intranet or Trusted Sites list? Are they using IE?

They are on a domain and if they use DOMAIN\username they are able to get in. The computers are on the domain and the site is in intranet and trusted sites. We are using IE.

Did you get a fix for this?  We've seen this a few times and we fix it either by re-creating the user's local profile (seems that their credentials aren't being passed properly or are corrupted) or restarting IIS.

I am getting the same error for some users. Unfortunately they are random. Even my PC is getting this message. But when you open a website other that the inrtranet address(the dotnetnuke home screen), the website appears, then when you type in the intranet home address, it also appears without error.

It, (the 401.1 error) ,only appears when you set the home page to the intranet homepage in IE and when it opens for the first time once you click IE. When another website is already open, you can get to the intranet home page using another tab without problem.

I am completely dumbfounded and my boss is at my sleeves.

Any great help is appreciated.
