Hi

We have been having problems that admin users or normal users that can add items to specific modules are getting logged out automatically. This is causing some issues. All these issues arise on child portals, so far I haven't found this phenomenon on any parent portal but have been able to reproduce it on both normal DNN5 portals as wel as DNN PRO portals.

None of the host users get logged out but normal users and admin users do. As soon as they click a link to add an item to a module that they have rights to they are automatically logged out. It seemed that other users also had this problem and i found a solution, adding same user on the parent portal was enough.

If you only have to do this for a few admin users this would be a suitable solution ( although not the perfect one ) but we have features now that are available to every logged in user so we would have to find a solution that would create every user on the parent portal when they registered on the child portal.

Right now we have these issues with OpenWebStudio modules, Ventrian NewsArticles, Ventrian PropertyAgent, DNN Feedback form,  Markit: Slideshow, and numerous others.

This happens  if you go from a normal page and click link to go to add or edit module. If you login after that you are transfered back to the correct admin page and you can add or edit your item. However if you browse a few pages and then try it again the same issue appears the user getslogged out.

Anyone else have this problem and have a non hack solution or found where it might bee a bug in DNN code?

Thanks in advance

I'm not certain exactly what may be causing the issue, but I do volunteer to take a look and see what is happening with the OpenWebStudio calls. I know there has been some issue in the past with the Child Portals and the specific PortalID that is passed back and forth on AJAX calls, so it may be related. Go ahead and submit a Ticket on the OpenWebStudio site and pass along the site credentials there (it's a private resource so no one can access the information). I'll personally take a look and see if I can sort it out.

Hi

It appears to be related to the Ifinity url master somehow but still I find the bug weird and the solution even weirder. I am posting on Ifinity as well to see what they say
