Okay I have a question, on a fresh portal install, normally you will see the dotnetnuke logo.gif there, and the background or whatever is transparent, so whatever it is put on top of, still shows through to the background.  When i go to make an image in corel psp x, i have my simple text stuff, with no background, like it just diplays the checkered tiles behind it, so i figure it would be transparent.  When I save it to gif it tells me its restricted to one layer 256 color or whatever.  When i upload the logo, it displays with a white background.  How can I make my logo, like the original dnn logo.gif, with a transparent background? so its seethrough behind the logo. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

Edit note: I noticed in Firefox it displays my logo with the transparent bg, but not in ie, it displays some odd teal color.  Why does it only do this with my logo? DNN's logo stil displays trans. in ie & firefox.

thanks

You need to export as a *transparent* gif.  It's usually something you have to actually check or enable when exporting.
