PortOfDreams - do you use a specific XSLT to convert your XML? I don't specify an XSLT so I assume it is using the shipped core one.

I was following this post because I have had the same issue with using an RSS feed on a syndicated Blog.  What I found out is this:

I get the same error: "News Feed Is Not Available At This Time. Error message:This is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'WHITESPACE'. Line 2, position 62."

I ran the feed through a couple of validators and one came back with the following respose from the RSS Feed:

<html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body>

<h2>Object moved to <a href='http://www.exit7players.com/Blog[1]/tabid/412/ctl/Login/Default.aspx'>here</a>.</h2>

</body></html>

If you look, the "error" is complaining about the [1] in the url. This url is actually a redirect to the login page.
The page that my blog is on is restriced to certain roles so my guess is that when the request is made,
the request is redirected to the login page and the feed throws this error.

As a test, I opened up the permissions on the page that the blog is on and the feed worked fine.

Hope this helps. If you find that this is also your issue, please let me know.

Jonathan

Hello Jonathan,

Thanks for the reply - I am still trying to fix this problem desparately!

Unfortunately this does not help my problem - all my RSS feed pages are viewable by all users!

Any other ideas please?

I would try a couple of things:

1) get the feed and put it through a couple of online validators.  When you get the error, check out the page source info and see what page it is displaying.  This will give you and idea if it is able to reach the destination page

2) check the permissions not only at the page level but also for each of the modules related to the Blog.  If any have restrictive security, open it up as a test to see if the issue is still there.

Wish I could be of more help,

Jonathan
