I have a problem on one of my websites that makes me go crazy.

I upgraded a dnn install from 4.8 to 04.09.05 and had no errors or what so ever. The 4.09.05 installation runs great, but every few hours it stops :(

I have to restart IIS (w2k3 server) then restart the sql server, go to the website while sql is shutting down and dnn gives me the website offline page, wait till sql is running again and then the website works again.. for a few hours..

i have to go to the page while sql is restarting otherwise the website wont work.

other websites i have on this webserver (my own server) dont have this problem.

this website is kinda important to me, becourse it's my sons weblog to keep my fam. informed about his leukimia hospital proces: www.timwordtbeter.nl

who knows what this can be?

Thanks alot :)

check your database for size, make sure db transaction log gets frequently truncated and check for largest tables - eventlog should not contain more than a few hundred rows, same for schedulehistory. Clear the search tables and reindex (see here: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/AboutDotnetNuke/V3V4TippsTricks/Suchindexlöschen.aspx)

Thanks for your fast reply :)

database.mdf = 255Mb and log.ldf = 6Mb

i dont use the dnn event log option course it was eating to mutch space indeed.
