I am struggling with these issues for quite sometime now. Any help is much appreciated

1) I have added a content pane above the menu bar. This pane has a HTML module added to it in which users can add/edit images. When i see in layout mode there is no space between this banner pane and menu bar. But when i add image to the pane and see in View mode there is space between the menu bar and banner pane. Can i remove this space? How?

2) I am using MinimalExtropy skin and customizing it. There is a white border all across my page which i found out comes from images in CSS. There is also a blue background color for the page area inside the white border. where is that coming from? I tried changing the #Body in CSS but that affected the background color of the area outside the white border.

3)There is extra space after the bottom pane  and above the copyright notice which I would like to remove. How can i achieve this?
