Hi,

I'm trying to make a simple flow where I have a "Content Writer" that creates a page and until the user with a role of "Content Approver" approve it, it won't show on the page.
(Content Approver is just an admin for approving content. Not publishing it.)
I then need to have a Content Publisher that can publish the content.
I doesn't work for me...

I created a flow.
I logged in with my Admin user and created these 3 users.
I then added a new workflow (via Manage Workflows) and added the 3 users inside the States.

Now I'm stuck. How do I set each user to have its role?
I also can't create a page when I log with ContentWritter.
I tried creating a page with my Admin user and gave the ContentWritter edit permissions and still.. when I log in with ContentWritter I can't see the page in the header and I when go to the url I get a "Access Denied".

Workflow is currently supported for HTML module only. per HTML instance you have to assign permissions appropriately.

Hi,

Thank you for answering.

Does it mean that for each page I will have to set the workflow? (because I saw something about apply this role for the entire site)
Do you have a documentation or a step by step information on how to make a new workflow?

For some reason, my ContentWriter cannot see the page I created with the admin, unless I set him as "administrator" in the "manage users" page.
Yesterday I played with the Admin/SecurityRoles.aspx, but for some reason this page is now blank. I don't see any user groups and I cannot add or edit anything. The page is just blank. Do I need to reinstall DNN?

Thanks for all your help,
Shay

you apply a role to the user for all the site, but module permissions need to be specified per instance. Custom Workflows are currently supported in DNN Professional Edition and 3rd party modules (e.g. from www.oliverhine.com) only. please contact the developer / vendor of your solution for support.
