I tried accessing Site Settings and i got this error message

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Portals.SiteSettings.Loadportal(String activeLanguage) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Portals.SiteSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

when i tried Host Settings the error message was

Error: Host Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettings.BindData() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have the exact same error. This started when I upgraded to DNN 5.4. Now I am on DNN 5.5.01 there problem is still there. This happens when I am logged into one portal as a host and try to edit the settings of another portal. I experience this only with a few portals but can not find the difference.

BTW if I log into the portal that I want to change settings for, everything is fine.

Any ideas?
