I see on the main DotNetNuke site that there is a breadcrumb facility (near the top of the page, where it says "You are here > Community > Forums" or whatever, to reflect where in the site you are. What a good idea, I thought, so off I went to add a 'Breadcrumb' module to my home page, except I can't find such a module.

I can find plenty of code snippets in the forums which include the text 'breadcrumb', but I can't find it in my standard build website, or on the Forge.

Can anyone help? Is it only available in the Professional Edition?

Thanks.

I suppose it could be added & updated manually?

Hi Paul,

I think it's a skin object (or it was some time ago) , you'll need something like this in the top section of your skin:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="BREADCRUMB" Src="~/Admin/Skins/BreadCrumb.ascx" %>

and then you'll need something like this where you want the breadcrumb to appear:

<dnn:BREADCRUMB runat="server" id="dnnBREADCRUMB" Separator=" » " RootLevel="0" />

It is still located in a skin object, so you will need to place it in your skins, not as a module on the page.

Okay, thanks. I'm actually using a Skin produced by Artisteer (http://www.artisteer.com), so I'm not sure how I would accommodate that. but I'll give it a go.
