My 5.3.4 was working with no issues... I am pretty sure its just 5.4.x if not just 5.4.4 related.

Can anyone confirm this? When is 5.5.0 slated to be released?

Hi guys... I just wanted to chime in here. We have had a few other clients recently point out that versions of our module working on one instance are causing problems with the latest 5.4.4 release related to email. I am curious if anyone can point out any specific email changes that were made between releases. Right now it appears to be related to SMTP performance issues (causing the server to spike) but maybe if there were other email changes we can review what those changes were between DNN versions 5.2 or 5.3 and the 5.4 release? Just curious because maybe the changes made will help us shed some light on these items. -Chad

I was also told that RAM usage has spike on the server since I installed this for a client. The server went from using 50-60% of 2GB of RAM to almost 93% usage...

Not that this is anything new... because it replies on the SMTP functionality, but the events module does not notify when someone registres for an event either.

Just adding to the list.

Chad, DNN 5.3 introduced the new messaging component, which now captures all mails sent to DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.send
