Is there anything I need to be aware of when upgrading from version 4.8.1 to 5.4.4?

Thanks

  • backup everything (files and database) first
  • upgrade to 4.9.5 first, next to 5.2.3 and finally to 5.4.4
  • before upgrading to 5.4.4, upgrade xml module and uninstall chat module

ensure that you are running sql 2005 or higher and have installed .net 3.5. sp1 - these are both prerequisites for all versions from 5.2.0 and above.
