Hi,

I'm new to DNN. I just setup a website with the latest version of DDN 5.4 Everything went great. The I played with making a menu item an external link, I selected "permanentredirect" just to see what would happen. BIG MISTAKE.  Now my site redirect each time I start it. I have no why to get my site back.

What can I do to solve this issue?

Best,

Steve Ellis

Did you only do this on your homepage? If going to another page, if you don't know any of the URLs try

http://mywebsite/default.aspx?tabid=31 or another number instead of 31. That will likely take you to an admin page and require you to login. Once you are logged in, go to the admin/pages page, select the homepage from the list and click on the pencil icon to edit the homepage settings. Then uncheck that option and remove the URL options from below.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the quick response. I was able to access my application with your advice (http://mywebsite/default.aspx?tabid=30). I uncheck the permanent redirect option
and restarted the app. I'm still getting the same result.  I then removed the offending menu item, still no change.

When I open IIS 7, and Browse *:80 (http) and still redirects to the external link (not sure if that information helps you).

Best, Steve
