Hi,

I wanted to add a second cell/mobile number property to a users profile so I followed the steps described here - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/479/Managing-Profile-Properties-A-Tutorial-for-Administrators.aspx. After a bit of fiddling about it seems to have worked - i.e. I see the field after I click on the (username) link that gets displayed when you login, and then when I click on the Manage Profile link. However it doesn't get displayed when I login as the Host account - is this by design (or at least a feature of DNN)? I wasn't sure it had worked because I was logged in as Host when I was editing the profile properties. I'm using DNN 04.08.04.

Thanks

Hi,
DotNetNuke allows you to manage some custom properties for each portals but SuperUser's profile doesn't take it into account.
I think the fact that SuperUsers are granted for all portals is probably the main reason.

Hi Stéphane,

Thanks for the reply. I guess it makes some sense when you think about it, although it was just a bit confusing that when making the changes as Host you didn't see the effects.

Thanks again
