Hello all, I'm a noob and this is my first post.   I searched the forum for an answer to my problem, and found nothing relevant.  So I hope that someone out there can help me.  I am not an IT guy, so please reply in simple terms.  :)

I attempted to download the community edtion of DNN, and got the following error message:  DownloadManager Error: 0 : System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Deployment, Version=7.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.  Fle name: 'Microsoft.Web.Deployment, Version=7.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'.

Is the missing file part of a software product that I have to buy?  I thought that all I had to do was click on the download button, and all the files I need to build my website would be downloaded.

Yesterdag I tried to do the same and I get the same error message. Does anybody know how to solve this?

there seem to be an issue downloading the MS Web Platform installer. you may use DNN install package instead or retry.
