L.S.,
I have a query with regard to running DNN on multiple webservers and one database.

We have the following DNN infra setup:
- Clients connect over internet to a reverse proxy (www.ourDNNsite.nl)
- Reverse proxy forwards to Loadbalancer
- loadbalancer balances over two DNN webservers
- behind the webservers is one sql server database server with one instance of the DNN database

After installing DNN we can add the Portal alias www.ourDNNsite.nl. The question is whether this will work. (we already did the Webfarm setup).
The major concern is whether or not sessions will remain intact, using this setup?

Does anyone have any experience in this field?

Thanks in advance!

DNN itself will still function as it supports load balancing.  However your standard ASP.NET session state will NOT function as expected, and any third-party or custom code that relies on it will not work.  You can use SQL Server session state, or some other option for state management if you need to manage session.
