I'm wanting to make changes to the ADSI Provider and have some questions about how to get started on that.  I have downloaded the DNN community source code, setup and installed it and am able to make edits in Visual Studio 2010.  So far, so good.

The next thing I need is to be able to edit the ADSI provider code.  I've downloaded the source code for it, but how, or do, I incorporate that project into my DNN solution?  I've noticed that the source has it's own 2008 solution and project files.  But I've hosed up the entire installation while trying to add in the project.

So I've started all over and have no idea where I should go from here.  I'm guessing that I can open the ADSI project in a second instance of VS and copy the files into my installation, but that won't allow me to debug and it would be a pain.

Open the AD provider solution, fix any references that may be broken to the DotNetNuke.dll, etc., make sure the build location is pointing to your /bin/providers directory , under the web tab on the project properties set your DNN site as the start point and you should be good to go. You can launch your site from the AD provider solution this way and be able to debug.

Where should the project files reside?
