I have created some custom profile property definitions for a module that I have created.  In my world, these profile properties are universal across all portals.
Is there a way to have them automatically created when a portal is created?

I see in the ProfilePropertyDefinition table there are entries where the portal id is NULL and these seem to be replicated for each portal when the portal is created.  I tried adding my own in the same way, however they did not get replicated.  So, I've missed something.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what I missed?  Or is there a better way?  Is there a way to have some 'install code' run the first time a module is added to a portal?  My thought here would be to have some custom setup code executed to make all the entries that I need.  I realize that I could have a 'configure me' administrative button, but that seems a bit on the kludgy side.

If it matters, I'm running DNN 05.01.04

thank you in advance for your help.

I am not aware of any way to have them automatically created, except for if you create a portal template.

Fair enough.  I never considered using a portal template.  I think the downside on that is one of human factors. If a portal gets created from the wrong template, you still need a 'fixit' utility.

Any idea what those initial values are doing?  The ones with a portalid of null?  Or are the just some vestage?
