Under IE 7 some of my customer controls cause a javascript error-- "Expected ';'"  I am getting this error from some of the .Net validator controls, however I expect other controls will encounter similar problems.

var dnn_ctr414_View.ascx_Redemptions_valParentType = document.all ? document.all["dnn_ctr414_View.ascx_Redemptions_valParentType"] : document.getElementById("dnn_ctr414_View.ascx_Redemptions_valParentType");

It appears that the ID of dynamically loaded container includes the file extension (see bold above) which causes a problem with javascripts that expect ther period (".") denotes an object.
