I just installed the RC release and tried to do a few test feedbacks to see what would happen... it ended up sending emails to everyone in the portal about the feedback and to moderate it.

Glitch in the module or misconfiguration on my end?

I'm hoping that its misconfiguration on your end. :)

Could you please check or answer the following:

1. In the Feedback module settings, are any items checked in "Send To User Roles" ? If Registered Users or Subscribers were checked, then the feedback email (but not the moderation notification) would be send to all users in those roles.

2. What version of DotNetNuke framework is the site running? There were some issues with multiple emails being sent out in DNN 5.3.0 and 5.3.1

3. Take a look at one of the emails that should not have been sent. What are the To, From, CC fields?

4. Take a look at the header information in this email. Is there an X-Rcpt-To value in the header? What is its value?

I'll take a closer look at this issue later this afternoon but in a quick look at the Feedback code don't see any reason for this to be happening.

You can disregard my request for more information concerning this issue. I located the problem in the Feedback code and will be fixing tonight or tomorrow for resubmission to the DotNetNuke release tracker testing.

Thank goodness you seen the issue.  Between this and the SMTP issues with not being able to set each portal with its own web server settings it has been frustratingly scary working with DNN lately and trying to produce some productive sites that function smooth.   Just need mainly a contact form for each site and user registration.  I am using each portal as a new site, which means it has its own admin and that admin has its own email accounts/server to use for that portal, however CE is limited to where its pointless to build many sites on one DNN application instance.   The only work around I see so far is to install DNN for each website which maybe a good idea but fixing the SMTP and getting this contact/feedback form in proper working condition like it should be and the project can move on from there.  Not many businesses use open relay since it will be considered a spam server from the start and reject most emails.

I had the issue again where I posted up some feedback and it sent it to all users in the portal, I looked everywhere to configure it differently.  Good luck with doctoring it up and thanks for the support.
