HI there ..something has messed up during the week after I installed 5.4.4.    When I now go to one of my portals, like this:

http://192.168.0.250:82/myportal/default.aspx

which used to take me to my website , now I get redirected to

http://192.168.0.250:82/Install/Insta...

WHY??

and I get the 'Unauthorized Access Error':

C:\Website-working-port82\Portals\_default\\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources
Error   Access to the path 'C:\Website-working-port82\Portals\_default\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources' is denied. The Windows User Account listed below must have Read/Write Privileges to this path.

This is after I granted all permissions to NETWORK, NETWORK SERVICE and IUSR.    ALso I removed XML logging from the web.config. STILL I get this.

HELP !!!!

Which OS version are you using? Which user account did you specify for the application pool used by your site?

Hi there, thank you for responding Sebatian... it is Win server 2008.. I did not make any settings changes in the pool area... one thing I did do though was, I set up several portals and portal aliases using one ip address  ( numbered) . Then a week later I changed the ip address so I went into the database tables manually and changed the valuies of the aliases etc in there directly. I suspect this was not a good thing to do but I dont' know what to do now.

Can you offer any suggestions as to why I keep getting the install wizard now and how I can get things back right again?
