I'm running a DNN 5.02.03 on an Intranet site using IIS 6 on Windows2003 and SQL Server 2005.  I currently have 2 portals.  I have installed the Active Directory module (no errors during install) and configured it successfully.  The documentation states that an Authentication page should appear in the Admin menu. It does not.  A Domain Users page appears in the Admin menu but when I select it, the page is completely blank. I've logged in as host and as admin.  Same result.

I can get to the AD Autentication page through editing the properties of the extension.  When I update the page, it passes all tests.  I'm using impersonation but
Impersonation was not required in web.config. I created a user for reading ActiveDirectory   This user has the same permissions to the DNN install as Network Service.  It was also given permsions to  the Temporary ASP.Net Files folder.  WindowsLogin.aspx is set to Integrated Windows Authentication only.
The login page shows the Windows Login button and domain users can login.

I've set the AutoLogin IP range - cold that be the reason the Domain Users range is blank and the Authentication page is missing?
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

the AD Authentication provider needs SSL.  Have you add a certificate and added SSL to the login page?

Hi Matthias,

I have not added SSL to the login page. I don't find any mention of a SSL requirement in the documentation (Active Directory Provider User's Guiide Version 5.00.02).  The Active Directory module is functioning on my intranet.  Users automatically log in when they go to the intranet site. After they open the website for the first time their domain accounts appear on the User Accounts page.

My issue is that the "Authentication" page does not appear in the admin menu as the documentation states (Chapter 3: Configuration). The admin menu contains a "Domain Users"  item that is not mentioned in the documentation at all. (However, the page is blank.)  I guess I'm being overly fussy.  It is working - Domain Users are automatically logged in.

Does any one else actually get these menu items and pages when using the Active Directory Provider module 5.00.02?

Thanks,

Mike

Have you found an answer to this question?  As I am having the same problem as well.

Hi Mike,

you are right about the SSL.  I havend used the last version or test it yet.  So if I found some time, I would try a test environment.
