If you on Edit Mode of a module the other modules are disapears is normal.  Only the Edit of the module page is viewed, edit your Content and save bring you back to the page where then all added modules want be shown.

by default, all other modules are hidden, when a module is switched to edit mode. only the developer may alter to use default behavior.

A third party module, PortalSkinHelper, can fix this problem:

http://www.bizmodules.net/Products/Po...

PortalSkinHelper ensures portal skin, rather than edit skin, is used when the URL is generated by EditUrl method.

Besides, it is free.
