I'm getting an error that the user does not have permission to upload files. So, my question is what are the permissions supposed to be on the "Forums/Attachments/" folder for uploads to work? I tried giving write permissions to Users and to IUSER, but neither seemed to work, not to mention I don't like having write permissions enabled for anonymous users.

Thanks

JK

asp.net does not use the IUSR user - instead it uses either aspnet, networkservice or whatever account you've used for your application pool - please see the documentation/readme.txt for correct permissions setup

Thanks. The Application Pool account has Modify permissions on that folder and it still wasn't working, which was why I was grasping at straws with the IUSER accounts. I'll check the readme.txt file. JK

OK, I give up. checking in the documentation/readme.txt there is absolutely nothing that resembles documentation. There is about 14 pages of Notes, Changes, Enhancements and Bugs, but nothing I could find that I would classify as "documentation." No documentation on forge either. :( JK

Why not setup the permissions in the filemanager?  THis way you can give permissions by user or role, etc?
