It's been a while since I've fiddled with this, and I can't quite figure it out.

I have http://mysite.com working just fine.

I created two child sites called A and B.

So ...

http://mysite.com/A/home.aspx takes me to the home page for site A and http://mysite.com/B/home.aspx takes me to the home page for site B.

Both http://mysite.com/A and http://mysite.com/B produce "The page cannot be found ..." messages.

How do I configure things so that the shorter form will take me to the home pages?

Aha!  I had renamed the site, but had not renamed the directory.  That's all that I needed to do.

Is it on the same domain ?  I asume that it should work.  Got you any error logs in the event viewer?  What DNN Version you are using?

Yep. But, as noted above, configuring things correctly makes all the difference in the world.
