I need to create a site with multiple languages which can be accessed using a drop down/link. Accorfing to my understanding, by using the language packs, we can change the language of UI of host and admni section. Please validate this.

Does DNN provide any inbuilt multi lingual module to display the HTML content in required language. Also, can the language of all modules used be also translated.

Please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks !

language packs are used to translate "static" elements like labels and help texts. For menus and module contents, please use 3rd party solutions, e.g. free EALO (ealo.codeplex.com), page Localization and ML modules from Apollo (www.apollo-software.nl) or free Locopon solution from dnn.tiendaboliviana.com. You may also want to check out magiccontent.codeplex.com

Are you refering to your own menues and modules here since DNN has had multiple language support for Admin and Host menues as well as some modules for as long as I can remember? Where can I as a software developer find technical information about the new content localization features and what they offer? Full "standard asp.net localization" in DNN, enabling, for example, the localization support for your partner Teleriks controls?

Patrick, ML support for Admin and Host menus in DNN uses static resources with specific names, which is usually not a solution for custom menus. Starting with DNN 5.5, DNN includes "Content Localization", i.e. support for language specific pages. I strongly suggest testing the new feature on a dev installation first, enabling the new feature cannot be reverted!
