My client stumped me today with two simple requests that I am unable to support in the DNN Blog (as far as I currently know). We already have 20+ posts in there, so switching to another module is an unlikely option (though not out of the question).
 
1. The client wants the blog entries (posts) list in chronological order - oldest first. I researched this and found that DESC is hard coded everywhere in the modules list entry stored procedures. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to implement this? If I do change the stored procedures, will my changes get overwritten by a near future DNN Blog module update? If yes, is there some way to implement this change and have it survive updates? Is there some other way to accomplish this that I am not thinking of?
 
2. Now that there are a lot of entries in the blog, the client wants Next and Previous buttons/links on each blog (detail) page. Currently there is just a link back to the main Blog page, but this means to view the "next" (or "prev") entry you click back, scroll to the next entry, click it, start reading... whereas having Next and Previous links/buttons on the page seems extremely logical to both the client and (now that they have brought it up) me. If this ability is in the DNN Blog module, can someone point out where it is? If not, what are some possible workarounds or hacks that might allow me to implement this?
