Hi - I went in to buy something on Snowcovered. As someone who's already had products online to sell (it has been a while since I put something new up) - I found when I went to my cart to check out the 15% discount I used to get was now gone.

Is this part of the changes to snowcovered now where developers no longer get any discounts?

I sent an email to email link in snowcovered, but sadly, since Brice is no longer at the helm, things don't quite get responded to in the same fashion.
I think part of the benefits for the developer was that they got a sort of 'trade price' on modules they purchased, but it looks like this is no longer available any more.

I checked through the documentation that I could find on snow, looked at the blogs - but it seems that the new referral system being offered is also removing any discounts offered to developers when they log in to purchase other modules.

Thanks
Nina Meiers

Nina,
I have forwarded your concerns to the Snowcovered manager who will be happy to clarify the recent changes to SnowCovered.  As it is the middle of the night for her, it'll probably be another several hours until you get a response.

Thanks Joe - I just wondered if it has something to do with all the changes in the referral system.

I could use some clarity on this also. Big disappointment if this is now gone too.

I would like to chime in also - I only just found out after spending quite a bit of money on some new modules. Apparently a newsletter went out to developers in July - but I didn't see it - here is the content as provided to me recently: ========================================================= Hello Developers, With all that is new with Snowcovered, we are sending out two developer emails again this month! Find out more about our upcoming referral program, some key dates to keep in mind for this year's DotNetNuke Connections conference, and more. Referral Program Over the past month we have been working on designing a new and improved Referral Program and we are just about to launch it! Receive a 10% referral fee for each customer you refer who makes a purchase! This program is more robust than our current program and with the updated tracking you can make more money than you have in the past! We will be sending an email in early August with a sign up link, so be sure to look for it in your inbox. 10% Developer Discount In past active developers were given a 10% discount on any purchases made on Snowcovered.com. After reviewing this program, we have decided to discontinue the active developer discount as of August 1, 2010. We are currently exploring different programs that will provide additional benefits to developers and when we launch those programs we will be sure to let you know. DotNetNuke Connections '10 Members of the DotNetNuke community will converge in Las Vegas once again this November for DotNetNuke Connections '10. Now is your chance to sign up for this event and save! Register by July 29th to take advantage of the early registration discounts including great room rates for The Mandalay Bay Hotel and reduced registration fees. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/News/Events/DotNetNukeConnections10.aspx Snowcovered.com on Twitter If you haven’t heard, Snowcovered.com is on Twitter! Please follow us at www.twitter.com/dnnsc Thank you, Rhonda, Business Manager of Snowcovered =========================================================
