Noob question

I have given a few users editing permissions for some modules. It seems though they can call up the RAD editors image File manager the upload button is disabled. In admin mode this is not the case so i suspect a permission setting somewhere i do not know here.

I am using latest community edition.

How does one enable this?

Thanks

You have to set the upload permissions for each folder on Portal folder, using the Filemanger!

Please notice there are Filesize restrictions on the web.config file by 8MB and on the radeditor default.xml file by 4MB !

Thanks for replying. I suspected as much but i seem unable to locate where these images are uploaded to. I initially tried setting the /Portal/0/ folder to modify as i suspected the images are uploaded there but it seems i was wrong as nothing changed. Where do the images get uploaded to then? Thanks again for your help.

/Portal/0/ is the base folder where all files uploaded or in its subfolders.  You could create a subfolder there with write permissions i.e "userfiles" with view and write permissions.  If a user then try to upload a file/image with the Rad editor he had to go tho the "userfile" folder to get upload permissions.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

So if i create a folder using using the filemanager in the root and give it  view and write to folder for that user group the suers logged in under that group will have their files/images etc uploaded their when using the Rad editor file manager?

Thanks
