- did you set up an IIS virutal site for your DNN installation ?

- did you give the appropriate user account access to your installation directory

after a redo of the install I get this...

i figured out the first error... here is a link

it seems that my host told me yesterday they were running asp 1.1 and somehow in 24 hours they decided to change to 2.0 ... complete bull
