I was trying to enable the localized contents for my dotnetnuke site but I was not able to find the link. I read about the link “Enable Localized Content” in the Admin -> Language but I was not able to find it. Is there something that I have to do in order to make this link visible?

I currently have installed 2 languages (Greek and English). I have event tried to setup a new copy of the dotnetnuke just in case that I have changed some settings which caused problem to the localized contents system but nothing changed. Can someone give me a step by step guide how I can enable the Localized Contents in my page?

Thanks in advance.

yes, you have to enable content localization under the host->host settings screen.

Thank you for your reply. I found a solution. I installed dnn 5.5.0 which had this option enabled and I upgraded to 5.5.1. I must say that your suggestion is better than

the one I used.

Mladen,
I also would like to better understand how it should work: I just had to rollback a site after having enabled content localization, because this messed up my host.

Enabling this feature did duplicate my tabs: the original tabs tree was kept for the portal default language (italian in this case), and a new tree of pages was created for en-UK (second language, en-US is disabled in this intranet site). But the problems were more: some of the modules in the "italian" tree lost their settings, while apparently most of the modules on the en-UK tree did not get any settings at all. Being in production I had no time to fix all of this, and had to restore my previous version.

I have the same problem with the "module settings" :
1) some module settings of the original primery language are preserved in the primary language
2) some are removed
3) some are copied to the secondary language and removed from de primary language

Maybe it depend on the module implemantation ?
Is it a know bug ?

When a try to correct 3) by deleting the module from the primary language, i cant find a way to copy the module from the secondary language to the primary language. Is there a way to do this ?

Do some people know if this issues are present in gimini ?

Aristotelis & Sacha, please be aware that Content Localization (Language Specific Pages) is a very new feature with known limitations. Some will be fixed in upcoming 5.6.0, while others are still need to be discussed, e.g. duplicating modules from secondary language to primary one and other languages enabled.
