In the future is this issue with dynamic content modules going to be solved so that the same module instances can be added in different languages? In my case I am talking about Ventrian's Property agent module.
Thanks

Sebastian this subject have been discussed on Open Force events since 2007 I think. And before that for years.
The Internationalization team doesent seems to exist. (No forum posts, very few bug reports in gemini, no buzz)
Bugs in this area is not prioritised. Tests seems to be very poor and so fort....
Should we believe in this feature??

The only person from the core team that seems to be intrested is you Sebastan and you run your customer sites in the DNN 4 branch.

Maybe I got it all wrong and a lot is done behinde the sceen, but but but....

So,  I've been trying to follow all the threads about the localization features in 5.5.x  and I have also spent some time trying them out on a development site.
The conclusion that I have come to is,  rip it all out and start over before it goes any farther :)

Now, being a developer, I had to see a lot of good effort go to waste, but it really wouldn't have been wasted.  It was a learning experience.  I firmly believe that DNN should just handle localization of the tab / page settings and also the  module settings.  (add a module setting for controlling the appearance based on selected language.)  Then it is up to modules developers to handle content localization (or not)

Now I know that the chance of my suggestion happening is close to zero but one can hope.  I also know that if it did happen, there would be a number of people very unhappy because they have already upgraded and are trying their best to use the new features.  But I feel they would be better served in the long run by implementing a better solution now then continuing down the current, overly complex path.

Just my 2 cents.

thanks for listening.

Robert
