Hi,
I'm using DNN 5.4.4 at a school. We only use AD authentication. However, some teachers are wanting to use user registration for students (which is based on DNN authentication). I started out having students create "DNN-type" users which would then be ignored in favor of the AD authentication. Of course, this now creates problems when a student registers for a second site ("A user already exists for the username specified...").
1) Is it true that a user can register for multiple sites as long as they stick with the same username AND password? (I figure the soluton is to have students register using their AD credentials [duh]).
2) How do you completely delete a user so that I can start over using a consistent registration procedure? (I've tried deleting users from the user and userportals tables but I still get the existing user error when trying to register a deleted user.)

Thanks for your help!

To fully delete a user you have to delete the user from the aspnet_membership and aspnet_users table as well.  There might even be another table or two in there.

Thanks for the reply, Stuart! That seems to work pretty well. Now if I could just get the students to follow instructions! You don't, by any chance, know of a way to tie the aspnet tables to the users table other than by the email address, do you?
