Hi my nam is Tim and I am new to Dot Net Nuke as well as CMS solutions so I am sorrp in advance for some of my ignorance.

I am looking to 'upload' an existing website which I had created. I would like to give a client of mine the opportunity to log into his site (with the same look and feel of his regular website) and edit selected regions. Mainly pictures/videos and text.

How can I set this up? Is there a video help section somewhere for new dotnetnuke users? I have read some of the help sections and found them some what confusing...

Thank anyone who can help me in advance and I appolagize for my ignorance

All you installing on your own computer is local.  If you install anything on a local Windows server that is connected as a webserver with the internet, it isn't local it is a hosting or dedicated server.

So to install DNN for a non production instance you need a IIS, .Net FRamework, and SQL Server for your system.  Install DNN as a virtual directory.  There are some differences between installing DNN on the different windows OS.  i.e. IIS7 had two different szenariouses you can install a instance - the classic and integreated.  This could make some users confused about the permission settings DNN needed.
