Please ensure that the XSL script renders XML instead of HTML.

The script should start with:
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:udt="DotNetNuke/UserDefinedTable">
<xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" omit-xml-declaration="yes" />

It does... I have it like so:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" 
xmlns:udt="DotNetNuke/UserDefinedTable" exclude-result-prefixes="udt">

<xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" omit-xml-declaration="yes" />

Any other suggestions..?

If the output method is set to XML, it will never render <br /> to <br>. The output of the module will then always be valid XML. Or do you wrap it in a CDATA section?
