G'day All,

Easy:
I have a situation with scheduling that can be handled by Microsoft Outlook but not DNN. I have customers who wish to make regular bookings for the nth named day of certain months i.e. the 3rd Monday of the month but only for certain months the 3rd Monday in September, the 1st Saturday in June to August, etc. Outlook handles this with 12 monthly check boxes like DNN does for with 7 daily check boxes for weekly events. Can this be included in a future update?

Harder:
I also have a more difficult problem, customers who want the 5th Saturday, whenever a 5th Saturday occurs.

Asking for the Impossible:
Finally, I have customers who want the Friday preceeding the 3rd Saturday. (Another, related customer wants the 3rd Saturday) This is usually the 3rd Friday but once every 7 years it will be the 2nd Friday. Can you think of a way to deal with this?

Hi Peter,

You can always raise these as requests on CodePlex. I can see that we may add your Easy option, but less likely to go for the Harder and Impossible ones. Thanks for grading them!!

However, you could tackle this from a different angle. Since Events 5.x, you are able to change the date/time of an individual occurence of an event. You can also delete them.... So you can create events covering the timespan you need, and then delete/move the ones that are in the wrong place. This method could meet all your needs, admitedly with some user intervention.

No your first post is fine :-). But we just capture all requirements on our CodePlex site http://dnnevents.codeplex.com. You will need to register on codeplex, but you can then add a new requirements on the Issues tab.
