I currently have a dnn website and I just set up a new hosting account with a new provider. I have also changed the domain name. What is the easiest way to transfer my website across to the new hosting comapany and change the domain name?

login as superuser ("host"), go to portals in host menu, select your portal and add the new domain name as portal alias. backup all files and database. Setup new IIS web site on new host, grant permissions to windows account used by asp.net , restore database and all files, adopt BOTH connection strings in web.config and run your site.

OK is there a way to fix it assuming I forgot to make the hosting account update before I copied over the files and DB?

you may add/edit portal aliases directly in the database, table PortalAlias.
