I am transferring my dnn website from an old host to a new host and using the same domain name. Is there some sort of steps that I should follow?

Second, I am moving to a host that allows password protecting directories. I want to make sure that no one can source the files outside from being a member with the permissions to do so. Could you tell me how I would tie the existing passwords/usersnames and permissions with the password protection feature? Would I just make the 0 portal password protected?
