Yes!

Please check your folder and file permissions where you have saved all the DNN files and folders.  Make sure the annonymous user have only read permission! Check if a other user was adden, if yes check your system for any virus types, spically for trojan, rootkit!

Hi,

We've found similar injected marquee code with pornographic links on our DNN 4.8.1 website this morning. The code was at the bottom just above the </body> tag in Default.aspx. I have managed to remove the links but I'm trying to establish how to prevent this from happenning again in future.

The NTFS file permissions are full permission for Network Service and read and execute for IIS_IUSR. We have Kaspersky antivirus installed...just did a scan and didn't come up with anything. Also, the server has many other DNN sites but only one site had the injected code so seems like it is contained to this website only.

The Default.aspx file had the last modified date for 04/09/2010 09:00 but we think this could be tampered as there is no unusal activity in IIS Logs or Event Viewer around that time.

Would be grateful for any further insights.

Regards
Arif Shah
