A new version of SGSV (aka SQLGridSelectedView) is available from www.tressleworks.ca.

V5.9 has the following new features:

  • Rollup Columns
    • Contents of columns cleared when the same as above. Reduces the "noise" level so difference stand out

  • XLST Templates
    • For use with "FOR XML"
    • Allow user to create complex templates based on data contents

  • Display Order Fixed
    • Numeric display order values now sorted numerically - no leading zero required

  • Edit record Now Supports more than one Key Column value.
    • You can now define multiple columns as the key in the Edit

  • When requested, the Reset Button now follows the GO button in all display layouts
    • No longer appears on first line of selections
    • Reset button will appear to the right of the GO Button

  • IMC (Inter-Module Communication) Child module can block page update
    • Used to disable update of modules when only one of module need to be updated
    • Useful when several SGSV modules exist on a page within a Tab module
    • On Button clicks will force update - used with "Select before Display" option recommended

  • Column Summing not handles Null values as zero
    • All non numeric values will be considered zero

  • Reworked Column Counting
    • Now counts no Null, no zero, and non blank rows - instead of every row

  • Cache Limit Timeout
    • Defines the length of time data will be cached
    • Defaults to 5 minues
