DotNetNuke versions 5.02.00 and later require MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (standard or express), not SQL Server 2000. Note also that even if you upgraded the SQL Server to 2005 or 2008, its compatibility mode or the database compatibility mode must be 90 or 100, not 80 (which is SQL Server 2000 compatibility). Using SQL Server Management Studio, the compatibility mode of the server or the database may be set by right clicking on the server or database name in the object browser, selecting "Properties" from the context menu, then locating the Compatibility Mode setting.

I am busy trying to update my SQL database now to SQL 2005. But it seems I have the SQL 2000 Developer installed and trying to upgrade to SQL 2005 Entprise. From what I can gather on the internet it is not supported. I canonly upgrade it to the SQL 2005 Developer version which I do not have. So I am trying to make a plan. Since that is the case I do not have the compatibility option availible for level 90 and 100. Any tips on what I can try maybe?

you may use free SQL Server Management Studio Express for transferring the database. datach in SLQ server 2000, tranfer and attach to SQL Server 2005/2008, alternatively you may use backup and restore.

Ok I have created a new test pc (using virtual pc) and only installed SQL 2005. Then restored my dorNetNuke database. Then I had the option availible to change the compatibility SQL 2005 (90). After that could do all my upgrades and install my updated Feedback Module which I was after without anyproblems. Just had to add "System." in two places in the download.vs file. Now I will make backups, install SQL 2005 on live server, remove the nuke database under SQL 2000 and restore from these backups to teh SQL 2005 installation. Hopefully I still will then have the option availible then to change compatibility to SQL 2005 (90). It should work right?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Ok I have now installed SQL 2005 under a NEW INSTANCE on the same test server as SQL 2000. Detached the database in SQL 2000 and attached it in SQL 2005. Now how do I get my DotNetNuke web.config file to look at the database under the SQL 2005 instance? As when I now open my "host site" it starts the new installation wizard for DotNetNuke. I want to add here that I uses the same "SA" password for the SQL 2005 installation as what I used with the SQL 2000 installation, can that cause a problem?
