Hello everyone,

Iam using dotnetnuke 5.5 for building my website.

I have a problem with menu and submenu, i changed the position of the menu div to absolute, to make it appear on the image.
now, when ever i hover on the mainmenu the submenu is displayed away from the main menu.

how can i fix this issue.

please help.

Thankyou,

The default menu has an issue with absolute positioning of one of it's parents.
You could use another menu component like Housemenu or the DDR menu, or use the image as a backgroundimage and not use absolute positioning

thanku for the reply
here iam using asp.net adrotator control for the image,

i tried the following

in dnn.controls.dnnmenu.js i adjusted  left and top of the menu as below.
menu.style.top=iNewTop-100+'px';menu.style.left=iNewLeft-20+'px'

now the submenu is coming right but the module menu is also getting changed.

and  i also tred this
in dnn.dom.positioning.js replaced line 42 with below
if ((eParent.id == (srcId || style.position != 'relative')) && (eParent.tagName.toUpperCase() != "BODY"))
{oPos.t+=eParent.offsetTop;oPos.l+=eParent.offsetLeft;}}

now the module menu is going to the top of the page

the problem is module menu is also getting affected with the main menu.

how can i resolve this issue someone please suggest me.

thankyou

Yes, I tried the same and didn't get it to work in both the main menu and the actions menu
You could install a free open source actions menu that does not have this issue.
